Trophy Pike: In 1987 we implemented a "no kill" policy for Trophy Pike. We feel this "catch and release" philosophy will preserve the quality of our fishing for years to come. Each year many of our guests catch Manitoba Master Angler Pike (41 inches or larger).

Walleye: The Walleye fishing on Vandekerckhove Lake is excellent. The islands, points, and reefs provide ideal structure for fishing for Walleye. Even though Wolverine Lodge is in northern Manitoba, our fishermen catch several Master Angler Walleye each year!

Hunt one of the newest areas allocated in Northern Manitoba for nonresident black bear hunters. We have some of the largest moose that Canada has to offer. They can weigh as much as 1,600 pounds, and have antlers that reach 65 inches in width, with the average being 50 inches.


Wolverine Lodge and Vandekerckhove Lake offer some of the finest Trophy Pike and Walleye fishing found in Canada. 90% of our guests tell us that they have caught the largest fish of their lives while at Wolverine Lodge!

Vandekerckhove Lake, a Manitoba designated High Quality fishery, is 10 miles wide and 15 miles long and covers over 27,000 acres. The lake contains incoming and outgoing rivers and creeks, islands, bays, reefs, and weedbeds making it a fisherman's paradise.
