Mar Huron Sportfishing is based in Puerto Jimenez, on the Osa Peninsula. We are located in the southern pacific zone of Costa Rica, just kilometers north of Panama.

Travel to the area from San Jose by air takes 45 minutes. Travel by car takes approximately 7 hours. The town of Puerto Jimenez is located approximately 10 miles south west of Golfito, on the shores of the Golfo Dulce.

The Osa Peninsula is a unique, undiscovered area, offering visitors the ability to experience some of the best wildlife and culture that Costa Rica has to offer!

We offer eco-tour packages to those travelling with non-angling companions. From ocean kayaking to surfing, gold-mining to jungle horse back rides, crocodile feeding to world-renowned bird watching. There is something special about this area that your spouse and families will also find memorable.

Mar Huron Costa Rica Sportfishing is an owner operated charter boat with accommodations at our luxury anglers villa located across from the pier. Villa is complete with pool, a/c, satellite tv and more all the services of a high end lodge - all the comforts of a private luxury retreat.

Puerto Jimenez grew to accomodate the lively and colorful gold mining trade. The primary areas mined have since been designated as National Park Land and is now considered one of the most biologically intense protected areas in the world.

The experience you will have will be similar to that of visiting an established, luxury fishing camp in a remote exotic, tropical paradise!
