Fishing on Red Lake: Sunset Lodge and Outfitters on Red Lake offers you great fishing for Northern Pike, Walleye, Lake Trout, Perch, and even an occasional Muskie. (We also have a smaller lake with plenty of those elusive Muskies for the patient ardent fisherman!) Connecting rivers will allow you to fish Northern and Walleyes in four other lakes without a single portage. There is simply nothing better than a shore lunch of freshly caught Walleye in the great outdoors!

Sunset Lodge Trophy Policy: At Sunset Lodge we respectfully ask guests to recognize that trophy fish produce the spawn responsible for restocking the lake system. As such, guests are to practice Catch Photo and Release on any trophy size fish that will not be mounted. All of the fish we have shown you were released. CPR will help to ensure great sport fishing for years to come.

Conservation Fishing: Recently, a lot of guests have been buying Conservation licenses and practicing CPR. In keeping with this trend, Sunset Lodge will pay for your 7-day Conservation fishing licence. We will issue one 7-day Conservation fishing licence per paying guest registered under Accommodation Plan, Package Plan, Family Plan or Hunting Packages.

We offer highly successful fall Black Bear hunts. Rotating the use of our Bear Management Areas and limiting the number of hunters contribute to our success rate. The sites are properly baited well in advance of the Hunter's arrival. We urge you to inquire early if you area looking for a hunt this year as space is limited.
