Elk are, without a doubt, the most majestic animal in the North American big game deer family and Alberta offers some of the finest elk hunting available anywhere. With THA, you can hunt Alberta for elk on the eastern slopes of the Canadian Rockies and in the rolling foothill regions SW and the more rugged foothills NW of Calgary. With over 10% of the available Alberta allocations for non-resident elk hunts, THA is well known and respected for our variety of hunts in a wide range of excellent elk hunting terrain.


We focus our hunting efforts on what we do best, hunting elk, moose, mule deer & whitetail deer. Other huntable species include wolf and coyote. Our bear hunting opportunities are limited to providing bear licenses only as secondary species on some moose hunts. As a fair chase outfitter, THA does not provide baited spring bear hunts.

Hunters should see a variety of big game opportunities. We cannot guarantee a kill, but we can guarantee hard work and hopefully, the hunting experience of a lifetime with the potential for world-class results.

Moose are certainly one of the most sought after members of the ungulate family and are frequently near the top of most hunters' wish list. The usual challenge to hunting moose, if you do not live in a prolific moose zone, is to be successful in a state, or provincial, moose draw. As there are very few states, and a limited number of provinces, that have any significant moose population, obtaining a moose draw is generally not possible and remains only a dream for most hunters.
